bksb

bksb is the UK’s most popular Functional Skills and GCSE EdTech Solution, and won ‘Company of the Year’ at the prestigious Bett Awards in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Last year, around 2.4 million learners used our online assessments and learning resources to improve their skills in English and maths.

Our assessments use artificial intelligence and complex algorithms to identify an accurate ability level for each learner. They identify skill gaps specific to each learner, then offer engaging learning content that can be accessed anywhere, at any time.  Powerful reporting data for Ofsted and funding requirements is included as standard.

bksb support education providers across a diverse range of settings including FE, apprenticeships, secondary and adult education.

Visit our stand at The Skills Conference, or get in touch for a free online trial, visit or webinar.

OCR

Our accessible GCSEs and Functional Skills qualifications for 16–19 year olds, provide support and resources designed to engage students and can be used in addition to the core support already in place for these qualifications.

Forward with Phonics

Forward with Phonics specialises in creating structured, age appropriate, phonic resources for older learners.

The teaching of phonics is now included in the new Functional Skills curriculum for Entry Level learners. The EFT has published the Post-16 Phonics Toolkit, which is a comprehensive guide to the teaching of phonics. A chart showing how our resources can be used to support the learning in each section of the Toolkit can be found on our website.

The resources are suitable for the 14-19 sector, Functional Skills and ESOL learners, who are working at a Pre Entry – Entry 2 Level.

Resources include two books of photocopiable stories and activities and a set of 54 reading books, called The Drop-In Series, with accompanying support materials. The stories in The Drop-In Series are based around a community café and offer reading support from CVC words to words with a more complex structure and more than one syllable.

All can be purchased as printed books or downloads via our website.
