bksb opened a brand new training centre in Chandigarh, India on Thursday 15 January. Led by Harvinder Atwal, Managing Director of bksb, and Dame Asha Khemka, Principal of West Nottinghamshire College, the launch was attended by a number of educational practitioners from the surrounding areas.
‘Skills Anytime’, bksb’s brand for the Indian Market, will operate from the prestigious Taj Hotel in Chandigarh and will support the Indian government’s proposals for upskilling the English Language skills of 500 million individuals before 2022. As is the case in the UK, assessments and interactive learning resources will be at the heart of the learning process, and products will prepare learners for IELTS tests.
There were a number of notable speakers at the launch of the Skills Anytime Training Centre including the Honourable Former Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir, Justice Mahesh Mittal Kumar, actor and singer Nav Sidhu, and Dame Asha Khemka and Andrew Martin of West Nottinghamshire College. bksb was represented by Tim Clarke (Chairman), Andrew Craske (Business Development Manager), Jai Atwal (Business Development Executive), and Harvinder Atwal (Managing Director), who led the event said, “We believe that Skills Anytime will make a huge difference to the way individuals and organisations access English language learning, allowing students and employees to develop and grow as individuals, whilst adding another dimension to the global workforce”.
The opening of the Skills Anytime Training Centre represents the latest expansion in bksb’s global business. Organisations are now using bksb in Europe, Australasia, and Asia.
