bksb has been awarded the Gold Standard for Work Experience Schemes by Fair Train. The Gold Standard signifies excellence in providing opportunities for traineeships and apprenticeships, as well as work experience, and is the highest award that Fair Train bestows to organisations.
Funded by UKCES, the Fair Train Work Experience Quality Standards have been developed in collaboration with a number of important education sector organisations including, the AoC, AELP and National Apprenticeship Service. By following the nationally accredited frameworks, employers and training providers ensure that their work experience programmes are of high quality and cover all of the elements proven to enhance an individual’s prospects for gaining employment.
On achieving the Gold Standard, bksb Managing Director Harvinder Atwal commented: “Four key members of the bksb team started with us as either apprentices or during work experience. We take great pride in developing our own staff, and providing opportunities to the local community, so achieving the Fair Train Gold Standard is a real privilege.”
