bksb show off their skills on the field

On Friday (9 June), bksb staff took part in the West Nottinghamshire College World Cup 2014, at the college’s main campus in Mansfield.

The event saw teams of staff and students each named after one of the nations competing in the actual World Cup – with bksb playing as Bosnia – battle it out for a chance to be crowned college champions, and claim a replica of the famous trophy.

The day wasn’t just a chance for staff and students to showcase their footballing talents; the sports development team organised power-chair and visually-impaired football taster sessions in the sports hall, and the Students’ Union put on fun and games for those not wanting to take part in the competition.

Congratulations to Level 3 Sports Students, or Honduras as they were known on the day, who won the coveted World Cup, beating the bksb team in the final.
