The solution, originally called 'keySKILLBUILDER', is in demand from other education providers and achieves its first external sales.

2000 The products are renamed as 'basic and key skillbuilder'

The products are re-named as 'basic and key skillbuilder', which will eventually become known simply as 'bksb'.

2001 Interactive, computer-based versions of bksb are launched

Interactive, computer-based versions of bksb are launched, bringing with them self-marking assessments and learning resources.

2004 Interactive ICT assessments are made available

Interactive ICT assessments are made available for the first time, providing an entire suite of learning software for skills development.

2006 bksb makes its first forays into overseas markets

2010 First sales of bksb in India

bksb responds to demand in India, and makes its first sale to Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College.

bksbLIVE is launched, a learner-centric, online platform which will revolutionise the way education providers deliver functional skills.

2014 bksb creates GCSE eLearning products

bksb responds to changes in educational policy, and develops GCSE assessments and resources.

2016 bksb Wins the Bett Award

bksb is named 'ICT Company of the Year' at the Bett Awards, reaffirming the company's position as the number one solution for Functional Skills and GCSE in the UK and further afield.
