No Change in Funding for Students Lacking GCSE English and Maths C Grades

The Education Funding Agency (EFA) have confirmed that there will be no change in the funding rates for learners without a good pass in GCSE English or GCSE Maths in 2015/16. Organisations will receive £480 per subject for these disadvantaged students, providing they’re full-time students. Equivalent reduced rates will be applied for part-time students without a C grade in English or maths. The announcement, made by Peter Mucklow the EFA’s Director for young people, implies that individuals with low levels of English and maths remain a priority for the government.
