The Skills Conference 2008, the first of what is hoped will become a regular fixture in the educational calendar, was held on Tuesday 11 November at The Principal Hayley Derbyshire Hotel, The event was attended by over 150 delegates from diverse educational sectors. FE colleges, schools, training providers, prisons and local authorities were, amongst others, all represented. Superb networking opportunities complemented an impressive line-up of speakers and seminar facilitators.
Hosted by bksb and sponsored by NOCN and West Nottinghamshire College, the primary aim of The Skills Conference was to offer an event which provided information and debate on all aspects of the national skills landscape. Feedback from delegates was glowing, with over 90% rating the conference overall as 'excellent' or 'very good'.
